Canton Universal Fair Group Ltd. |
GICEC (Guangzhou International
Convention and Exhibition Centre), |
| Description |
In 2003, the total annual production of
all bakery and confectionery companies was 5.4 million tons,
at an equivalent value of US$6.87 billion. In 2008, consumption
is forecast to reach a level of 7.3 million tons - an increase
of 40.4%, with the overall bakery product market (including
Hong Kong) forecast to reach an annual value of US$9 billion.
This is equivalent to a 61.4% increase over 2000. In this
branch of industry, imported products now account for approximate
one third. As a result, the sector as a whole is rapidly expanding
and offers foreign companies excellent opportunities.
Advanced expertise and technology is very much in demand and
attracts strong market interest. Although it is quite certain
that the Chinese market will continue to boom, the number
of competitors established in the market will also increase
every year. Therefore, if you want to gain a share of this
enormous market, you should not wait for your competitors
to act first! |
